Eye Donataion Awareness Club#Kashyap Eye Hospital-Ranchi-Jharkhand

Kashyap Memorial Eye Bank, a registered trust has been very active for the corneal transplantation. Unfortunately the trust has to do the awareness, keep the list of donors, keep the list of the recipients, call the recipients, do the actual corneal grafting operations, do the follow ups and information to the media and other corneal grafting related things all by itself. We want more and more people to be involved as far as the Eye Donation Awareness is concerned, hence this Eye Donation Awareness Club formation. Eye Donation Club is a unit of the Kashyap Memorial Eye Bank.

Functions of the Club

  • To do all that is necessary to spread eye donation like Posters, Cards, Stickers etc.

  • To organize function like Music Concerts, Runs, Cycle Race etc for the club.

  • May hold Eye camps.

  • May hold Seminars with the celebrities.

How to become Member?

Anybody paying a sum of Rs.200/- per year can become the member of the club for one year. The renewal of the membership will be at the time of general body meeting of the club.

Honorary Members - Representatives from the family who have donated the eyes. The membership will be complimentary without voting right.

PRESIDENT
President of the club will be executive head of the club. He will be coordinator with the trust. He will chalk out the plan for the year and finalize it after the approval of the trust. He will always keep in view that the trust interest is not hampered in anyway. He will chair the meetings of the club. For the post of the President there will be election

Criteria for the post of President

  • Should be able to generate a sum of Rs.20,000/- as donation to the trust.

  • The age should be above 35 years.

  • Should have genuine interest in Eye Donation

  • If there is only one candidate for the post of President, he will be considered elected unopposed.

SECRETARY
Secretary will coordinate with the President. He will act like President in the absence of the President.

Criteria for the post of Secretary

  • Should be able to generate a sum of Rs.10,000/- as donation to the trust.

  • The age should be above 35 years.

  • Should have genuine interest in Eye Donation

  • If there is only one candidate for the post of Secretary, he will be considered elected unopposed.

TREASURER
Treasurer will keep the account of the club and the membership list with their addresses.

Criteria for the post of Treasurer

  • Should be able to generate a sum of Rs.10,000/- as donation to the trust.

  • The age should be above 35 years.

  • Should have keen interest in Eye Donation

  • If there is only one candidate for the post of Treasurer, he will be considered elected unopposed.

The account will be operated jointly by the President and the Treasurer.

 If there is no nomination for any post, the Trust will select the suitable person for such post.

OFFICE BEARERS

Tenure - Tenure of the office bearers will be of two years.

Rules & Regulation - The trust finally will make/changes rules and regulation with the consultation of the President of the EDAC for the smooth and effective functioning of the club.

The office bearers will only consist of the President, Secretary and the Treasurer. They can choose and make further sub-committee for the smooth running of the Club. They should meet at least twice in a year and the annual member will meet at the general body meeting.
